Privacy policy
Effective 2 November 2026
CornerLog is made by Walker & Volf s.r.o. This policy describes what the app does with your data. In short: everything stays on your phone.
What data the app uses
Only while a ride is being recorded: precise location (position, speed and heading from GPS) and the phone's motion sensors (gyroscope and accelerometer). From these the app computes the lean angle. The calibration of the phone mount and your settings are stored too. The app does not use your name, contacts, account or any identifiers.
Where it is stored
Rides are stored only in the app's private database on your phone. The app has no internet permission, so it cannot send anything anywhere. There are no ads, no analytics, no tracking and no user accounts.
If you have Android backup or device-to-device transfer turned on, Android may include the app's data in that backup (for example in your Google account). This is controlled by the system settings, not by the app.
Sharing
Data is never shared with anyone. It leaves the app only when you export a ride to CSV yourself; the file is saved where you choose and from then on it is under your control.
Permissions
- Precise location: speed and turning rate for the lean angle and the ride track.
- Foreground service and notifications: so recording keeps running with the screen off and you can stop it from the notification.
- Wake lock: keeps sensors running during a ride.
Location is used only while you are recording a ride, never in the background otherwise.
Deleting your data
Uninstalling the app, or clearing its storage in the system settings, permanently deletes all rides, calibration and settings.
